2020 Chinese National Optimist Championship took place in Suzhou city, Jiangsu Province, 7-12 Nov.
All together 102 kids from 15 teams, from 14 different cities and provinces took part in it.
They completed 12 races.
2020 is a special year under the affection of COVID 19, even though China has already come back to the normal track, government, organizers still have a big challenge to run such a national championship.
All of the sailors, coaches, judges have to be taken a nucleic acid testing against COVID 19, it is the first time that sailors race in the lake not on the sea. The wind shifts a lot. It leaves the big changes for the sailors who come from the seaside.
Optimist boys, the first 3 are from Ningde city, YangJiang city, and Shanghai city
Optimist girls, the first 3 are from Ningde city, Shanghai city and Fujian Province.
Charter boats are mandatory. All boats are from OnePlus Boat. General Manager Ellen Jiao said:“ we are very happy and proud of supplying charter boats to our Chinese National Optimist Championship, which all the top sailors take part in it. We will supply high quality boats, fast and nice service as we always do.”
